Research in Accounting

This guide will help you find the library resources you need to carry out effective research on topics in Accounting. The tabs above will take you to advice on finding books, articles, research databases, and resources on the open Web. Databases for Basic Accounting Research

    ProQuest Accounting & Tax offers highly ranked global and scholarly journals, along with current news and coverage of trends and events influencing accounting and tax issues of the day.
  • Accounting (LexisNexis)  
      
    ProQuest Accounting & Tax offers highly ranked global and scholarly journals, along with current news and coverage of trends and events influencing accounting and tax issues of the day.
  • Business Source Premier (EBSCOhost)  
      
    Business Source Premier offers the largest collection of general business research resources, including full text access to more than 2,200 journals. Excellent coverage of marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics. Also offers market research reports, industry reports, country reports, company profiles and SWOT analyses.
  • Google Scholar  
      
    Free open Web access to Google's scholarly search engine. It identifies articles and other scholarly resources across many disciplines and, thanks to Google's unique way of searching and sorting documents, it often provides results that don't come up through the other traditional research databases.

    Mergent Online is currently WKU’s most comprehensive source of company information online. Covers both public and private, domestic and international firms. Includes complete financial statements, SEC filings, background, history, key ratios, competitors, news, company executives, and much more.
  • Accounting Research Manager (CCH)  
      
    Timely and comprehensive online database of expert-written analytical accounting, auditing, governmental, internal controls and SEC information as well as primary source data. NOTE: WKU access includes the Accounting, SEC, and Auditing Modules, but not the Internal Control or Auditing modules.
