The Costume Program in the Department of Dramatic Art at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has two collections: the Costar collection (mainly 19th century) and Nowes Ark (beyond the western tradition).
Collection of historical and contemporary works including manufactures’ catalogs and containing real fabric swatches along with sketches showing how the new prints and weaves could be fashioned into seasonably stylish garments.
