Punctuation matters    or this cautionary tale:  eats shoots leaves

Punctuation is important!  Because our lives are now filled with activities where punctuation isn't used very much (like texting, and other social media acts of writing), we forget that punctuation is an integral part of how we communicate with others.  Written materials like letters to friends, letters from your business, class assignments which involve writing papers (or even short answers), or writing your resume REQUIRE accurate punctuation.  Without it, consequences may include:  people misunderstanding you or your information, not getting a job, not being able to negotiate a deal. and sounding completely uneducated.

Purdue OWL Punctuation  Go directly a site which defines how to use punctuation.  Includes a Punctuation Lesson section for you to find out how to use commas or semicolons.
