Jewish Texts

The Basics

  • Academic Jewish Studies Internet Directory
    Lots of links.
  • Academic Guide to Jewish History
    From the University of Toronto.
  • Cybrary of the Holocaust
A site where Holocaust survivors, liberators, historians, and teachers can connect and share the best research resources and stories through art, photography, painting, audio/video, and remembrance.
  • Internet Jewish History Sourcebook
    Historical sources on Jewish history.
  • Jewish Practice
    From Chabad.
  • Jewish Encyclopedia Online
Contains the complete contents of the 12-volume Jewish Encyclopedia, which was originally published 1901-1906. Since the original work was completed over 100 years ago it does not cover a significant portion of modern Jewish history (e.g., the creation of Israel, the Holocaust, etc.). However, it does contain an incredible amount of information that is remarkably relevant today.
  • Judaism: Beliefs and practices.
  • Judaism is an Abrahamic religion -- faiths which recognize Abraham as a Patriarch. Others include Christianity Islam, and the Baha'i Faith. Although Jews comprise only about 0.2% of the human race, they have had a vast and positive influence on the world.
